Tour Description
A fantastic experience in the heart of the Food Valley to discover two world-class products: Parmigiano Reggiano and Parma Ham.
The Tour starts from the established starting point and then heads to a traditional dairy producer to see live the different stages of Parmigiano Reggiano production.
Watch the lifting of the fresh forms of Parmesan, visit the salt pool brining room and the maturing warehouse.
Finishing up with a fabe tasting of two different cheese ages accompanied by local wine.
We head towards the town of Langhirano, the historic home of Parma ham. We share the history of relating to the territory, a visit to the production rooms of the ham factory and to the maturing rooms.
End of the morning there will be another spectacular tasting of Parma ham aged for 24 months with fresh cut bread and wine from the hills of Parma.
Next we have Lunch in the Hillside Trattoria with all the local Parma dishes and wines. (End of Half-Day Tour)
FULL DAY TOUR: Final destination is the wonderfull Aceto Balsamico maker’s Lofts where you will see the whole ancient barrel decanting process and taste 32 year sweetest aged produce!
